Real Estate & Architecture in Los Angeles

"Rob is the best real estate agent I've ever worked with"

Rob is the best real estate agent I’ve ever worked with (and I’ve bought and sold a lot of houses). He is thorough, organized, a wise negotiator, VERY knowledgeable about Silver Lake, and a genuinely kind and thoughtful person. I discovered him by googling online and finding that he had by far the most sales and the highest reviews of anyone. I interviewed him along with several other agents, but there was no contest. I had invested a lot in my house, and Rob understood and appreciated that. He recommended that I get a pre-inspection to be sure that there would be no last minute surprises. This turned out to be a critical success factor in the sale of the house because the few things that needed attention were all in great shape. He suggested a top notch designer/stager to add accents and pieces that made a huge difference, but was reasonably priced. He brought in an excellent photographer, whose photos were of “wow” quality. And, he made a super attractive brochure. His enthusiasm for the quirky nature of my house and his understanding of how to pitch that to clients was remarkable. He definitely doesn’t have a “fast selling” approach. Instead, his low key confidence and knowledge of both architecture and the neighborhood (where he lives) made all the difference. Lastly, he has an amazing following on Instagram and other social media as well as a lovely team that fills in for him if he needs back up. I can’t recommend Rob strongly enough. He is the BEST!

"If there's a Rob Kallick Fan Club, sign me up as Treasurer."

If there’s a Rob Kallick Fan Club, sign me up as Treasurer. Rob is just great, full stop. He has impeccable taste, is an easy hang, and is VERY good at his job. Buying a house with Rob is like consulting a friend you trust implicitly, who knows a lot more than you do, but isn’t a jerk about it. He’s as cool a cucumber as it gets – he leads you through the truly terrifying process of buying a house like he’s leading a meditation class. Rob made the process so pleasant that I was almost disappointed when I closed on my house so quickly! …Almost. I hope I make more money so I can work with Rob again someday. If you’re buying or selling a house on the Eastside, there’s no one better.

I love Rob Kallick! Rob was recommended to me by a dear friend. He helped me find my very first home, then three years later, he helped me and my new husband sell it… for a lot more money! Rob is so cool, calm, and is so great at walking you through the whole crazy process of buying/selling a home. SELLING: Rob was smart and knew the market/neighborhood (glassell park) and was strategic on the listing price. Because we priced it “right”, i had multiple offers and ended up getting a large chunk over asking. I saw time and time again, people listing their home “high” hoping to make as much as the neighbor down the street, but people aren’t as interesting in putting bids on a home that is priced above market value. I saw this firsthand! Rob’s photographer, whoever she was, did an INCREDIBLE job with the photos, adding so much to the marketability of our home. HIRE ROB TO BE YOUR AGENT! That is all 🙂

"Rob is the best agent in town."

Rob is the best agent in town. He far exceeded our expectations every step of the way in both selling and buying our homes. He helped us with a rather complex transaction as we needed to sell and buy within a very tight timeframe. What could have been an extremely stressful time was made easy due to Rob’s keen knowledge of the local market, cool and calm demeanor, incredible responsiveness, and great relationships with other agents. The house we were selling had never looked better thanks to Rob’s incredible photographer, and we were extremely pleased with the sale price which was way above asking. With Rob’s help, we were also able to secure the purchase of our new home in an extremely competitive market. That is no small feat as we had previously lost out on 5 other homes when using another agent in the purchase of our first home a few years earlier. You should feel very lucky to have heard about Rob. I recommend you stop looking at other agents and call him right now!

"Rob was great about understanding our style and what we were looking for."

We knew Rob “from the internet” a bit before we started showing up at this open houses. It also didn’t hurt he was already a friend of friends, so we felt comfortable with him from the beginning. As first time home-buyers, we ramped up our search over the period of several years, and we started getting more serious and having him show up at the houses we were most interested in. This was during the Highland Park area boom, when we were competing against 30 other offers, houses going for $100k+ over asking, and with no appraisal contingencies. Rob was great about understanding our style and what we were looking for. He helped us zero in on the mid-century style houses we were after. When we were serious about a fixer-upper, he helped us really think through what it would mean for us. He had us consider houses we normally wouldn’t to help broaden our search. A couple days after we came back from Mexico and getting engaged, we found a house in Adams Hill we wanted to move on. Rob was there every step of the way, and had our best interests in mind. He had all the right contacts to help us hustle on inspections, and already had a good working relationship with the selling agent. He made himself readily available to us, and answered even our stupidest questions. He even let us bounce renovation ideas off of him, and gave some great tips based on his own home renovation experience. Overall, I’d say Rob is a conscientious and trust-worthy guy. He’ll understand your real estate needs, and has a great eye for homes and the Northeast Los Angeles neighborhoods. I’ve already recommended him to friends for their house hunt.
