The Glendale Historical Society 2015 Home Tour is this Sunday, September 27th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s tour features six distinctive mid-century modern gems.
This new Silver Lake listing was renovated by Glen Bell, AIA, of DEX Studio, and featured on the Dwell on Design Home Tour 2011. The impeccable renovation was a collaboration with Bell and the artist and landscape architect owners. The property includes a 1,906 square foot main house and a detached 505 square foot guest house with a kitchen and bath.
This year’s Dwell Design Week and Modern Home Tours are right around and corner! The 2012 event will highlight the best of Los Angeles’ architecture and design, with a portion of ticket proceeds going to Dwell’s non-profit partner, Architecture for Humanity.

The upcoming Pasadena Heritage 35th Anniversary Spring Home Tour will highlight mid-century modern residential architecture on a self-driven tour of 5 mid-century homes designed by noted architects.
The Los Angeles Conservancy presents another in its popular home tour series “At Home with History” on Sunday, November 6th from 10am to 4pm. Visitors will get the opportunity to explore the historic neighborhoods of Los Angeles, known as Historic Preservation Overlay Zones, or HPOZs. They’ll be able to speak with residents about their experience living in HPOZs, and see firsthand how owners create personal and livable homes, while preserving historic integrity.
This Sunday, October 23rd, the American Institute of Architects Los Angeles heads east for its Fall 2011 Home Tour. At each of the four homes on the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to talk to the architects and docents and discover new designs.
Rudolph Schindler’s Lovell Beach House in Newport Beach and Charles and Ray Eames’ residence in Pacific Palisades are both open to the public this weekend in separate fundraisers.
