805 Coronado Terrace
Los Angeles, CA 90026
The agent’s description for this property describes it as a “Nantucket beach cottage” – kind of a bold claim for Echo Park but honestly, it’s an accurate desecription. There is a definite “seaside” vibe to this bungalow that will make someone overlook its shortcomings and fall deeply in love with what it does offer.
Built in 1881 and renovated with a whole lot of love, the house is eligible for a Mills Historic Distinction as a large percentage of the house is still original materials – such as the master bedroom below:
The price per square foot for the house is a little high, but the land is listed as 7,000 square feet and from what I saw, most of it is usable with a nice sized front yard and a very big, multi-level backyard. The garage has been converted to a guest house/studio and has a three quarters bath.
The kitchen has been updated and leads out onto the deck with a view that goes from the ocean to the Hollywood sign. Overall, I was very impressed with this house and am curious to see what it eventually goes for. If you’d like to go see it with me, shoot me an email!
