I’m liking this new mid-century listing in the Hollywood Hills. Lake Hollywood Park is a great little hidden gem in the Hollywood Hills that I discovered today. My neighbor had been telling me about it – that not that many people know about it and it’s a great place to take dogs. She was right on both accounts, pretty much.

Tucked beneath the Hollywood Sign and overlooking Lake Hollywood, the park is petty hard to find. I took Beachwood Canyon up, turned left on Ledgewood then somehow made it onto Mullholland Dr which took me to 3160 Canyon Lake Dr. where the park is located. Parking is abundant and even though signs say no dogs off leash, there were plenty off dogs running around.

My dog was found by its former owner running around the streets of Downtown LA about 5 years ago – needless to say, he’s not really an off-leash dog so I kept him on. It was fun for a little bit having dogs come running up to us and saying hello, but after a while Ebbie and I just wanted some alone time.

The park is very sunny with only a few shaded spots, which we grabbed. It was super quiet and relaxing and nice to see people playing frisbee in a big open field, which you don’t really see too often in LA. There are benches, picnic tables and a play area for kids too.

On the way back we stopped at an overlook to admire this amazing view of Lake Hollywood and the reservoir.
