In April of 2010, we went on the LA Conservancy’s “Home Sixties Home” architectural tour, and the Franks House was our favorite stop on the tour. Designed by architect Raul Garduno in 1966, the home is located in the hills of Brentwood and truly stands out among the other multimillion dollar homes in the neighborhood.

Tom-Brady-Gisele-Bundchen-brentwood-mansion

The eight-bedroom home will have a six-car garage, a lagoon-shaped pool and spa, a covered bridge connecting two sections of the home, an elevator, a wine cellar, and weight room.

Tom and Gisele purchased the 3.75 acres for $11 million, and the new pad is located just down the street from Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. The sprawling mansion is being built by Boston-based Suffolk Construction, whose CEO John Fish is a good friend of Brady’s.

So, if you had all the money in the world, would you build a 22,000 square foot, $20 million home?

Another fabulous mid-century hits the market? Just another day in L.A. these days as things have picked up in the last few weeks with more and more great listings. This home is no exception. This one-story gated house in a great part of Brentwood is on a very big lot (14,157 square feet). The listing says the lot alone is worth the asking price and it would be a great place to build your dream house. But teat this down? That would be sad.
