2038 Redcliff Street In Silver Lake

2038-1

This is one of the more interesting houses I’ve come across in a while and that’a saying something since L.A. is full of interesting homes. As you can see from the photo above this house was designed for the indoor/outdoor lifestyle enthusiast (which I guess is pretty much anyone who chooses to call Southern California home).

I love the open walkways connecting different areas of the house, and the dark wood gives it a really cool “cabin” feel. Check out this great long walkway leading to what looks like the front door:

Before we look inside, it should be noted that this house is set way up in the hills which means great views of the reservoir and plenty of peace and quiet – and plenty of places to sit and take in the view:

More photos after the jump.

The view from the upper balcony gives you a good idea of the scope of the house:

Overall I think this house has a lot of potential to impress in person – I plan on checking it out this Sunday at the open house (2:00-5:00pm). Will you?

Not crazy about houses on stilts! and this isn’t a house for kids. But..really beautiful interior, very open, comfortable and great wooden built ins etc…Fireplace looks too small for room. What is neighborhood like?

  3. Hi –

My Mom and I where looking to see if we could find our old home online and volia this is it – 2038 Redcliff! We lived there from 1979 – 1984 and moved when I was 3. Although I was young when we moved I remember so many wonderful details about this house – it was a wonderful home. We currently live not too far away – in the Southbay – Hermosa Beach.
Fun to run across this blog and the beautiful pics of the home – it is definitely a very special place.
