I don’t usually spend a whole lot of time searching for homes in this area (in the hills north of Brentwood), but when I stumbled upon this home, I had to post it. Designed by Ray Kappe in the late 60s, this home has been designated a historical monument. The house is made up of wood and glass and has been painstakingly restored. It’s on the market now for a pretty penny, but I think that when a lot of people close their eyes and imagine their dream home, this is what they see:

This is maybe one of the most cozy looking bedrooms I’ve ever seen:

Really, is this house a dream come true or what? Just walking from one room to another seems fun.

Oh and it also has a roof deck in addition to 5 bedrooms and an infinity pool. It’s been on the market for a while so people have been having trouble pulling the trigger on this beauty, but I have a feeling that with the recent price drop, it will be snagged up soon but someone very very lucky.

  2. With out a doubt this guy is one of my favorite architect of all times, his designs are flawless. This home with a doubt is worth every penny.

I think this home’s greatest selling point is the light. Nothing but light. Good for depressives. Not so good for vampires!
